- The hotel was in a good location. There are plenty of takeaways and bars nearby as well as a small supermarket. You can't hear the noise from the bars so don't worry - It is a 10 minute walk to the city centre; just stay on Bath Street - The hotel room was lovely and spotless! Housekeeping staff do a fantastic job. The shower is HOT so if you like hot showers you won't be disappointed, of course you can adjust it to your own liking and if you forget your shower gel/shampoo then don't worry as they provide them in the showers. There is also hand-wash at the sink too. The bathroom consists of a toilet, small sink with a light up mirror and there's space next to the sink to leave your toiletries and you are given two towels and a smaller hand towel. Housekeeping replenish these when you want them to clean your room - There's a kettle in the room and sachet tea, coffee inc decaff, sugars/sweeteners and milk which again housekeeping will replenish when they clean your room. There's a flatscreen TV with Freeview channels and a small wardrobe to hang your coat and other items and you can store your suitcase there so it's out of the way. There's also a full length mirror and hairdryer. - Mattress was a little hard for my liking but I still had a great sleep and the pillows and cover was comfortable and kept me warm. There's an air con unit which you don't need to adjust as it'll either heat or cool your room depending on the outside temperature. Once the curtains are shut and the lights are off the room is pitch black, you can't see your hand in front of your face. I like it like that but if needs be you can either leave the curtain open a little bit to let in some light or leave the light on in the bathroom and close the door - In the lobby there's a bar where you can take the drinks back to your room and there's also a seating area I have uploaded some photos.

Location was absolutely ideal. Right in the city centre but not in a bouncing area so noise wasn't an issue. It is classed as a budget hotel, but everything was great. Bathroom was spotless, with a good shower and toiletries, hairdryer, wide screen TV, heater if needed etc. The breakfast was amazing! When staying at this hotel, the Novotel next door is used for breakfast and it is accessed via a flight of stairs and an interconnecting door. Huge selection of hot and cold breakfast items with plenty of drinks to choose from. I must say how very friendly and welcoming the hotel Ibis staff are. On arrival, everything was explained, including the parking that was just 2 minutes walk away and only £8 for the day. Then in the evening, the same staff served us at the small bar area and again were absolutely lovely.

The size of the room matched our expectations with a nice decor, a very nice welcome kit with a few local treats (that was really nice considering we had just arrived in Scotland). Bathroom had very nice toiletries (soap and shampoo) and everything was very clean. Staff was nice and helpful. Location was very nice - we walked to the hotel from the central station easily and from there to a lot of nice places (we did not use any means of transportation during our stay in Glasgow, we just walked everywhere). We had breakfast there in the first day (Ibis was using the Novotel restaurant structure at the time) and it was just great (eggs, bacon, sausages, some types of bread and beverages, cereals, yogurt, porridge, etc). Easy check-in and check-out.

Just enough room. Check in was easy. We arrived early and left our bags there while we started to explore. They gave us an option of a room right away but told us of construction on that side of the building (appreciated the heads up and let us choose) The location was comfortable to visit both east and west sides of the city and close to two attractions we were eager to visit - Tennament house and Mackintosh at the Willows tea rooms. Easily got more hangers on request. Helpful and friendly staff.

- amazing customer service: our first room had a bad sewage smell, but the reception staff was prompt to address our issue. We were moved to a different room and even given 2 complimentary drinks. - really good location if you are going to the theatre - room had everything you’d need - they validate parking (small discount) at the nearby city park (5 mins walking) - really good breakfast with plenty of choice
